Remote Island Schools WASH Programme

Our Manus based project management team of Hassan Romaso, Chris Lohai, Paul Kepou and Vincent Kambuou along with advisors from Australian Aid's Health & Education Procurement Facilty recently undertook a tour of rural school communities around the remote Manus islands to assess the construction and use of Urine Diversion Toilets built with Australian Aid funding for student use. Travelling up to 3-6 hours per day by outboard dingy over 5 days was an experience few in the travelling group will forget. The fishing for yellowfin and skip jack tuna was a also pleasent distraction.
